"You were anointed with chrism, and became partakers and fellows of Christ. Be careful not to suppose this to be plain ointment. For as the bread of the Eucharist after the invocation of the Holy Spirit is no longer ordinary bread... so also this holy ointment is no longer plain ointment... but a gift of Christ, and by the presence of the Holy Spirit is made fit to impart His divine nature." St. Cyril (circa A.D. 348)

The Sacrament of the Holy Spirit

Commonly known as Confirmation, this sacred sacrament marks the completion of our initiation into the Catholic Church. Through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we are sealed with a spiritual mark that signifies our full belonging to Christ.

Just as the Apostles were empowered by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, so too are we strengthened in Confirmation to live courageously and faithfully as witnesses to the Gospel.

Becoming Confirmed

Confirmation requires a theological and spiritual readiness.  Whether a adult or child, everyone comes to the Lord's church at a different level of understanding. Please contact Father Brauner through the contact form so that he can help begin your preparation for confirmation.
