"Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven." James 5:14-15

Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick—also traditionally known as Extreme Unction—is the last of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. It is offered to the faithful who are in danger due to serious illness, advanced age, or major surgery, and is not limited to those who are imminently dying.

This sacrament brings spiritual strength, peace, and courage, and, if God wills, even physical healing. It may be received more than once—for example, if someone recovers from an illness but later faces a new serious condition or approaches the end of life due to natural causes.

Visiting of the Sick

If you are unable to attend Mass or any other Sacrament, please contact Father Brauner to arrange a visitation.
